NEW ACTING EXAMS ADDED TO CURRICULUM

Lamont Drama School has added acting exams to its curriculum.

Pupils now have the opportunity to enter the LAMDA Performance Exams as well as the LAMDA Speaking of Verse and Prose Exams.

Principal Diane Lamont, says : “For many years I have entered pupils for the LAMDA Verse and Prose Exams as I believe their value in developing a child’s interest in literature is immeasurable. They assist the children in their written English and help them gain confidence. They also develop excellent communication, listening, presentation and audition skills.

I have now widened the curriculum to additionally offer the LAMDA Performance Examinations. These give pupils the opportunity to develop their acting skills in an enjoyable way. The emphasis is more on performance with less theory to learn. They are an excellent choice for pupils who are not yet ready to move up a grade in the more challenging Verse and Prose Exams or for children who prefer a more ‘practical’ approach with less background study.”
